Pendrive/External HHD ( You need to format the disk in drive : Before you can use it )

Getting Pendrive/External HHD "You need to format the disk in drive : Before you can use it" error message while accessing external storage.

Here is the best solution for those who are facing this issue.

Steps to follow :-

Insert your pendrive/HHD in usb port and wait for the driver installation.

After that open my computer and check external drive in showing or not.

You will find drive name f: or other name as per partition.

If your inserted drive is showing but not openable

Follow below command prompt steps

Run CMD as administrator and type chkdsk space f: your drive that need to repaired and /f

e.g : chkdsk f:/f and press enter.

Wait for a while and your drive will be repaired and readable.
